Coopered door wall cabinet.

Coopered door wall cabinet

I have always wanted to make something that is coopered. Not being in the barrel making business, I had to wait till the right opportunity arose. Luckily it did, and here is the result.

The cabinet, which is made from American cherry, has a door that is coopered from many pieces of wood. Once the door has been shaped, it has a nice pleasing curve.

Inside the cabinet there is one upper adjustable shelf, and two small drawers. The drawer fronts are of sycamore, while the handles are made from ebony. As is the tradition, the drawer bottoms are of cedar.

Materials: American cherry, sycamore, ebony and cedar.

Dimensions: 560mm (h) x 345mm (w) x 235mm (d)

Guide price: £1000.
